LASER SKIN RESURFACING

• Dr. Huffaker offers CO2 laser skin resurfacing for dramatic improvement of deep lines, wrinkles and brown spots.

THE SUN AND YOU

• The Sun emits UVA, UVB, and UVC rays.
• The ozone layer blocks the majority of UVC rays.
• Overexposure to the sun’s damaging rays is the leading cause of skin cancer.
• Many cases of skin cancer can be prevented.
• Some sunscreens contain toxic ingredients (benzophenone-3, octyl methoxycinnamate, octyl dimethyl PABA).
• The majority of sunscreens filter only UVB rays—the burn rays.
• The SPF rating only refers to the UVB rays.
• UVA rays are blocked by Zinc or Avobenzone (Parsol).
• Topical antioxidants that contain vitamins C, E and Ferulic Acid provide 8 times the skin’s natural protection against harmful rays and neutralize harmful effects of both UVA and UVB rays.
